Do you think that wearing Gold and Silver together is a faux pas? Not only can they be worn at the same time but mixing the two in one piece is a beautiful, confident look. The Two Toned Kinetic Rings shown here are individual pieces of Sterling Silver and 14K Gold put together in one ring. There is also a technique called Mokume Gane which is actually melting/fusing the various metals together to form one mixed piece. This is also called a "marriage of metals". This technique can be done with all metals not just Silver and Gold to get an awesome unique look. Copper, Brass, Steel and Nickel are among the other metals used in marrying.
Shown here are my Two-toned Kinetic Rings in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold. The 3 Outer Bands Rotate around the Inner Textured Band.
Check out future Items of the Day to see some "Marriage of Metals" pieces.
